Well, another year of show has come and gone!  As usual I had a ton of fun in Anaheim.  I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t any new western or cowboy lines, but don’t worry….I’ve got something up my sleeve as usual.  I took a 4 hour class with Ranger and Tim Holtz.  For those of you that don’t know, Tim Holtz is one of the biggest names in scrapbooking and I supply a lot of Ranger products in the store.  So you probably are using these items and don’t even know it.  Well my class was very inspirational in helping me use some new products and some old.  I’m excited to start teaching what I learned.

I also focused on lots of organizational items that you all asked for.  So of course I went crazy!  Be on the lookout for these new products.  Embellishments and new tools caught my eye at show and there will be lots of them as well!

I have had several people ask for a tools class, so I will be doing a few different ones as I get in the new tools from show.  My first class however will be a refresher on whats in stock now.  Just a note, if you need training on a machine that was not purchased at The Scrapbook Creative Zone I will set something up with you individually (ie – Cricut, Slice, Cuttlebug etc).  The price will be $20.00.  It is to hard to just do a Cricut class and get everyone in that wants it.  If you purchased your machine through The Scrapbook Creative Zone, you receive FREE training on the machine along with the club discounts if they apply.  And those will be set up on an individual basis as well.

My first tools refresher class will be February 18th at 9:30 am and will go as long as it needs to.   The cost on it will be $2o.oo and I will only have room for 10 people.  You must pre-pay to reserve your spot.  You will receive a 25% discount on any tools that are bought from the class as an incentive.  The discount is only good through the day of the class.  If I am out of stock on something, I will order it in for you and you will receive a coupon for the discount to be used.

Also I will be starting a new SALE every week.  Starting Saturday February 11th paper will be on sale.  If you buy 10 sheets you will receive 5 FREE of equal or lessor value.  (Sale excludes any items already on sale).  I will have a different sale every Saturday ONLY!  So come in and take advantage of each sale.  Also you need to watch the website on each different sale items.

I had one of my customers ask of they can just come in and crop on Saturday’s that I do not have anything scheduled and of course I am always happy to accommodate my customers!  This is how it will work.  There will be NO charge to come in and crop as long as you know that the stores tools will NOT be available to use (ie: Cricut, Slice, punches etc.).  Also I will not be able to assist you in any way due to the fact I am the only one who works on Saturday’s and will have to stay on the floor.  You must notify me no later than Friday by 4:00 pm if you plan on coming so I can set up according to how many people want to come.  My limit will only be 8 people.  We do have a water cooler available for drinks and that’s about all.  You can come and go as you please and are welcome to bring in any food to eat that you want.  The store hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday’s. You will be able to shop and of course take advantage of any sales going on for that day.  So hopefully you all will take advantage of a FREE crop and join the fun on Saturdays.

Most of you don’t know that March is National Craft Month.  And of course Rick and I are planning away!  I am trying to get something fun set up for that month with other craft businesses downtown Torrington and maybe 4H.  I would like to display all the crafty things my customers craft weather it be scrapbooking, card making, home decor, quilting, photography or any other craft that you may do.  I am still working out all the details on whats going on and where this will be held!  So again stay tuned and pass the word around of this fun month!

The Birthday club has been put in full swing and I do apologize I was late getting it on the web.  Its been a busy year already and we are only in the second month!  All you have to do is sign up on the website and add your birthday.  You will receive a coupon via e-mail  in the beginning of the month that is your birthday.  You can use the coupon only once but is good the entire month of your birthday.  So sign up and tell your friends to get on my website cause its always full of information and now savings!

Well we made through the night!  This was my first overnight crop and I had a blast!  I couldn’t ask for a better bunch of women.  We started around 5:00pm Saturday night and cropped our way into the wee hours of Sunday.  I do believe we were done by 7:00 am Sunday Morning.  I would like to thank everyone that showed up and participated:  Mary Jones, Trish Colson, Becky Filbert, Diane Kelly, Jamie McFarlin, Jennelle Werner, Debbie Rutherford, Cheri Craig, Nicole Heron & my newest & youngest cropper to hang with us crazy women, Jemma  Nicole’s beautiful daughter!  I also want to send a special thanks to Trish for staying and helping me clean up.
